Carnage iOS Game

Carnage is a brand new iOS game which we have been developing in partnership with Superfly Studios. Its going to be released on iPhone and iPad, and published by the awesome Chillingo.

There’s one aim in Carnage- cause destruction!  The player must speedily navigate their car around the world with the aim of causing the biggest car pile up possible! In Carnage the more damage that happens the better the score!

From a development point of view, this has always been a very ambitious title. It pushes physics calculations to the max, with tons of cars (and bits of cars!) deforming and and flying all over the place.

Export 2 Reality were tasked with creating all the art content for the game, not a simple task! Not only is Carnage going up in a high competitive market, but also the strict technical budgets meant that we had to keep things simple and efficient.

For those of you that understand how 3D games are constructed, Carnage uses 2 x 1024x1024PNGs for the textures,  and under 10,000 triangles for the environments, in order to keep the game running smoothly. To put that in context, that’s less than one object (such as a building or statue) could use in a modern current generation game
